Giralda
In 1242 the aljama mosque became a cathedral and later the minaret in the bell tower.For this purpose the tower will be recreated in the years 1560-1568 in Renaissance style with a body of bells and above it the body of the clock, the body of the stars, the body of the caramboles, the plume, the dial and, as a monumental top, a sculpture of 4 meters high representing the Christian faith, which the wind moves when it touches on her. Hence, the bell tower became popularly known as Giralda, “tower vane that has a human or animal figure” and, in the image of the Giraldillo faith.
