Palacio del Partal

CONSTRUCTION PERIOD: 1302-1309

STYLE: Almohad and Nasrid architecture

FUNCTION: Royal palace

CATALOGATION: UNESCO World Heritage Site

Sultan Muhammad III (g. 1302-1309) ordered it to be built. This palace originally had a central courtyard where the pool was located. Today, the building that was located in the northern area, the pool and the gardens are preserved.

The portico, the hall and the Tower of the Ladies rest on a tower of the wall and are reflected in a central pool designed as a mirror, which dilutes the walls of the building and integrates it into nature.
