Torre de la Iglesia de San Pablo, Zaragoza

The Bell Tower of the Church of St. Paul 63 m high in 1284-1343, originally freestanding. It will be surrounded by the cloister due to the expansion works of the naves in 1389, which means that the lower part cannot be seen from the street.

It is built with brick with an octagonal floor plan and a structure similar to that of the Almohad minarets, this construction derives from the ancient Roman lighthouses that survives and is developed in the Aragonese Mudejar towers. It is made up of two towers, one surrounding the other and between the two run the stairs covered by a vault built by approximation of courses. The inner tower contains five overlapping rooms with a circular floor plan and a hemispherical vault that can be accessed from the staircase. The top of the tower was pyramidal, currently it is a spire made in 1849.
