The beauty of the church is a prelude to the \u201cbeautifulness of heaven\u201d according to Suger, as well as being a mirror and reflection of the city, which is why all the social strata of the time, both ecclesiastical and civil, sponsored its construction. The first stone of Burgos Cathedral was laid in 1221. It is built in Gothic style with ashlars.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main entrance to the cathedral is on the fa\u00e7ade of Santa Maria. The walls are torn, dominating the gaps and in some there are stained glass windows. This immateriality speaks for itself.
